Learn More about VOIP and our Services

VoIP - AKA Voice Over Internet Protocol uses an Internet connection for routing telephone calls, opposed to conventional plain old telephone service from the regular telco that uses conventional switching and fiber-optic alternatives. This technology provides high efficiency telephone calls at a fraction of the cost with more functionality.

How does it work?
You can use our service in three ways.

  1. Use an ATA adaptor
  2. Use a Softphone client
  3. Use a Dial-Out access number

ATA adaptor
An ATA, or Analog Telephone Adaptor is a device that typically has an Internet port (RJ-45) and a telephone port (RJ-11). This device allows a user to use their existing hardwire or wireless telephones by plugging in the telephone to the telephone port and Intenet connection to the Internet port. True Call International allows a customer to purchase an unlocked ATA adaptor, or they have the option to purchase or rent an ATA from us.

Softphone Client
A softphone client is software that will allow calls to be made and received using your laptop or desktop, a microphone and headset. True Call International will provide you with account information needed to use a softphone. Many softphones are free. Currently we support SIP softphones. We can also provide multiple softphone users should you need multiple ATA's or softphones to be used with your account.

Dial-Out access number
Many True Call International customers do not have a high speed Internet connection. Because of this, we have released a feature called "Dial-Out". This allows you to place a phone call to your phone number from a designated phone number. From the designated phone number, you simply call your True Call International phone number. You will then be asked to enter a password. Once you enter your password, simply dial any phone number you wish.
